Physical Therapy
Getting back to your greatest self

A physician referral is not required to seek therapy services. The one exception is if you have an HMO health plan that requires primary care physician to issue a referral. With the freedom to choose where you seek therapy services you are only limited by whether the provider participates with your health plan. Since we at Stoneking Physical Therapy and Wellness are network providers for virtually all health plans, there are no barriers to accessing our services. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your plan.

General Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Therapy for common musculoskelatal conditions such as strains, sprains, tendonitis, bursitis, osteoarthritis, post fracture and surgery (including joint replacement), frozen shoulder, and tennis elbow.

Sports Medicine
Therapy specific to rehabilitation of the athlete from the college to high school level. Therapy is generally faster paced depending on the status of the athlete.

Spine Rehabilitation
Many different orthopedic/manual (hands-on) techniques are utilized including myofascial release, strain/counter strain, and joint mobilization to name a few. Spine stabilization exercises are incorporated into all patient programs. Spine stabilization teaches patients to maintain the spine in a neutral position to protect it from strain, and prevent future episodes of pain. All patients are taught an appropriate home exercise program for self-maintenance.
Getting back to your greatest self
We treat people whose movement and physical abilities are impaired by injury, surgery, disease or aging. Our goal is to help you regain function and mobility, manage pain and return to your fullest level of activity. We will meet with you to assess your condition and establish goals. We will then implement a course of treatment that may include strength and conditioning exercises, as well as leading-edge pain control techniques, posture exercises and balance activities.

What to expect
Initial assessment
We acquire a thorough medical history at a patient’s first visit. We then conduct a complete physical exam before providing any treatment.
Goal setting
Our therapists will discuss the patient’s goals during the initial visit.
Personalized treatment
We apply a variety of techniques, such as soft tissue work, hands-on methods, and therapeutic exercises. Care may also include cold, heat, electrical stimulation and ultrasound.
Progress tracking
Each patient is reevaluated by a therapist on a continuous basis. The number of visits each patient needs varies greatly.
